VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!

Share Your Time. Preserve Our Community’s Artistic Legacy.

Focus on the Masters depends on dedicated volunteers who believe in the power of art, education, and preserving history. Whether you have a few hours a week or a special skill to share, your time can make a lasting difference.

There’s a Place for Everyone

Whether you know a lot—or nothing at all—about art or archives, we have meaningful volunteer opportunities for you.

You might enjoy volunteering if you:

  • Want to give back to your community
  • Love meeting artists and creative people
  • Enjoy organizing, cataloging, or photography
  • Like working behind the scenes
  • Have administrative or computer skills
  • Simply want to be part of an inspiring arts organization

Interested in Working in the Archive?

Our archive welcomes both community volunteers and college interns.

Whether you’re looking to give back, learn new skills, or earn academic credit, you’ll help preserve interviews, artwork, photographs, and historical collections for future generations.

    • We Need People Who Love to Pitch In

Do you have a half-day or more each week to share?

Do you love art—and the people who create it?

Do you enjoy helping visitors and answering the phone with a smile?

Are you organized? Good with computers? Interested in libraries or archives?

Can you edit video or work with digital media?

Most importantly… do you like to have fun?

If you answered “yes” to any of these, we’d love to meet you.

It Takes All Kinds of Talents

Focus on the Masters has always relied on volunteers who are willing to do whatever it takes to keep one of Ventura County’s premier arts organizations thriving.

      Some days you’ll file.

      Some days you’ll write.

You’ll answer phones, work on the computer, organize files, label artwork, prepare mailings, help with events, move precious objects, and lend a hand wherever it’s needed.

      It isn’t always glamorous.

But every task—large or small—helps preserve the stories and artwork of accomplished contemporary artists for future generations.

      And yes… it’s a lot of fun.

    • Everyone of them matters.

    • There’s a Place for You Here
