A Conversation with Jennifer Wolf
Sunday, August 24, 2025, 3:30 to 5:00 pm
An artistic explorer of remarkable depth, Jennifer Wolf is also a scholar, a scientific composer of color, and a talented documentarian. The richness of Jennifer’s experiences is vividly reflected in her artwork. Her collections of natural pigments and dyes have taken her from her hometown of Ventura to various locations around the globe. Early in her artistic career, she studied at Churchill College of the Arts at the University of Cambridge. While completing her B.A. in Art History at UCLA, she received a prestigious travel grant for Archaeological Field Excavation with the University of Georgia in Carthage, Tunisia. In the years that followed, Jennifer became the director and sole proprietor of “the sandbox,” an influential alternative gallery space on Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice, CA. Her passionate engagement with artistic mediums guided her graduate studies, where she took on various roles, including educational assistant, teaching assistant, and lecture coordinator, playing a pivotal role in shaping the artistic atmosphere during her pursuit of an MFA at Otis College of Art and Design. The hand-ground pigments and natural dyes in her work testify to her connection to the land. Jennifer’s work has graced the walls of galleries across the United States. Currently, her work can be seen at William Turner Gallery in Bergamot Station, located in Santa Monica, CA. The epicenter of Jennifer’s creation, her studio, sits proudly on The Avenue, here in Ventura.
