Come to this celebration of youthful expression, and see how art creates connections to cultures and histories from around the world.  This exhibit features artwork created with Learning To See Outreach in the World History class of Mr. Andrew Vasquez at Green Middle School in Port Hueneme.  This unique 12-week program and exhibition was made possible by a grant from the California Arts Council.

Focus on the Masters is an art appreciation program that documents, preserves and presents the works and lives of accomplished contemporary artists. FOTM’s award-winning in-school art program, Learning To See Outreach, inspires our youth using the lives and works of our extraordinary FOTM documented artists from our community. The lessons begin with a PowerPoint presentation about the life and work of these artists, including a round table discussion. Students then apply themselves to their own art projects and gain respect for themselves and others. Art anchors them to a greater caring for their community and to a greater acceptance of cultural diversity.
