A Conversation with Joe Adams

Sunday, April 19. 3 – 4:30

Whether a land-bound Celtic Nautilus sculpture standing proud amidst a brick Labyrinth, an underwater Tafoni sculpted of stone, or an other-worldly being captured in graphite and scrolled onto a wall, Joe Adams’ talent promises to deliver stunning, lyrical, and breath-taking art. Joe’s artistry glides through a fantastic array of mediums, including stone, photography, metal, tile, oil paint, graphite, and graphic design. Also having designed theater and production, Joe has chosen to distill our shared surroundings and atmosphere into unique entities of pattern and form. The beauty of his art invites us to consider the majesty of nature and to recognize our role as stewards of our planet’s well-being.

A two-term board member for Stanford University’s Friends of Hopkins Marine Station, a member of the Studio Channel Islands Art Center, and a sculptor at Art City Studios, Joe is a friendly, inviting, non-suspect arts activist. His artwork, in various forms, can be found throughout California and across the United States.
