The Focus on the Masters Arts Archive & Library invites the public to join a panel discussion via zoom with FOTM documented artists, ceramist Cheryl Ann Thomas, weaver Michael Rohde and curator Jo Lauria relating to their monumental exhibition Connected Spaces at the American Museum of Ceramic Arts in Pomona. Moderated by FOTM Founder Donna Granata, the panel discussion will take place the evening before an optional visit to the gallery, where both artists will give a guided tour This two-person exhibition highlights a new body of work by each artist in response to the other’s work. This assembly of nearly 50 ceramic sculptures and woven tapestries is focused on a recent series created by the artists through a year-long artistic exchange in 2020-2021. The exhibition will also include pieces by both artists beyond the series to provide context.
