Monica Furmanski

This photograph was taken at the Santa Barbara City College’s Atkinson Gallery, the site of Monica’s 2007 exhibition, which featured a site-specific installation project. The bold colors, the geometric shapes, the texture of the trees, and the open space are all part of the artist’s installation, photographic evidence of what is not there. Monica urges the viewer to engage and truly observe the surroundings. It is not a trick but a lesson in careful observation.
