This experiential week-long art submersion program will create a bond with you and your grandchild that will last a lifetime. Class dates: July 18 through July 23, 2010
Tuition includes: Art is a powerful process for revealing and representing a person’s individuality, vision and values to oneself and others. In this unique experience, gifted photographer Donna Granata guides grandparents and grandchildren on a profound journey of self discovery through a week of hands-on art work; photographic exploration; an oral history project; and inspiring encounters with local artists in their studios. The intensive process builds understanding and deepens relationships. The action takes place in the historic sea-side community of Ventura and neighboring Ojai, a haven for artists. No demonstrated artistic skill is required to engage in this program. Instead you and your grandchild will discover your own innate artistic abilities. Grandparent(s) may bring 1-2 grandchild(ren) ages 12-14 years. Public transportation and chartered bus used on field trips. Walking up to 1 mile on field trip to artist studios. Due to the unique nature of this program, the registration process requires special attention.
